Honeywell Sulf-N® Ammonium Sulfate

Agronomic Benefits

Agronomic Benefits

From sands to silt loams to clays, the field advantage goes to fertilizer programs that include Honeywell Sulf-N ammonium sulfate fertilizers.

More Efficient Nitrogen

Sulf-N nitrogen is ammonium, the preferred form of nitrogen that resists N loss naturally, without any need for additives to improve efficiency. Ammonium-rich Sulf-N fertilizers are immediately available for root uptake and resist loss from leaching, volatilization and denitrification.

Readily Available Sulfur

Sulf-N fertilizers satisfy the growing need for sulfur created by clean air initiatives that are reducing the sulfur content of industrial emissions. A 70% reduction is expected by 2015.

Better Phosphorus Uptake

Ammonium improves availability and uptake of residual and applied phosphorus, especially important where P rates are restricted. In university testing, corn starters made with ammonium sulfate performed as well or better than high-phosphate blends and solutions.

Incorporation Not Needed

Resistance to volatilization makes Sulf-N ammonium sulfate more efficient than urea and UAN solution for surface application in high residue systems like no-till, ridge-till, min-till, continuous corn, and any topdress application to row crops, small grains, and forage grasses.

University Proven

Sulf-N fertilizers have increased quality, yield and profitability across a broad geography of field and crop conditions.
