Honeywell announces price increase for nylon 6 film-grade resins
MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J., June 2, 2008 -- Honeywell (NYSE: HON) Resins and
Chemicals announced today a price increase of 12 cents per pound over the
current price of nylon 6 film-grade resins, effective with shipments June 16,
2008, or as contracts allow.
The company re-evaluated its pricing on specialty polymers nylon products
because of the continued rising costs of sulfur, natural gas, benzene and
transportation.
Honeywell Resins & Chemicals produces the nylon feedstock caprolactam and
other chemicals, specialty polymers, and ammonium sulfate fertilizers.
