Aclar film is a polychlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE) material used extensively in pharmaceutical packaging for its excellent moisture barrier and chemical stability. It is crystal clear, bio-chemically inert, chemical-resistant, nonflammable, and plasticizer- and stabilizer-free.

Aegis® barrier resins are designed for use in multilayer polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles to extend product shelf life. Honeywell has developed three grades of Aegis® high-barrier nylon tailored to the requirements of specific beverage/food market segments.

Asensa™ polymers and copolymers are an alternate to hydrocarbon and/or microcrystalline waxes and provide sun and skin care products with a more pleasant non-oily feel and added water repellency. Our micronized products function as lubricants for deodorants and as suspension aids, binders, and flatting or texturizing agents for color cosmetics.

Capran® and Capran Medallion™ biaxial oriented nylon films provide excellent barrier, strength and flex-crack resistance properties making them ideal for a variety of applications, including food packaging, book covers and balloons. Capran Heat Stabilized Nylon Films are known for their pinhole resistance, easy release and chemical resistance. OxyShield® Oxygen Barrier Films provide excellent flavor and aroma barrier in addition to high strength and chemical resistance.

The barrier film products are based on the superior properties of PCTFE as well as PMP and ECTFE.  Barrier films can be formulated to possess excellent physical, chemical, electrical and thermal properties, a broad range of optical, esthetic and barrier properties, contain active or passive modifiers, and yet still retain an extremely high degree of inertness and durability. They can be used as release films as well as in the production of ultra-lightweight aerospace components, as high clarity / high barrier encapsulant layers for electroluminescent lamps and as formed shells to protect highly sensitive electronics and mechanisms from harsh environments.
