Genetron®134a is a single component HFC refrigerant that replaced
CFC-12 in many air conditioning and refrigeration applications. It holds an
ASHRAE A1 safety classification, is EPA SNAP accepted and UL classified. As a
refrigerant, it possesses similar energy efficiency and capacity
characteristics as R-12.
Using the proper procedures, Genetron®134a can be used to replace
CFC-12 in existing systems. It is also a common refrigerant in small
displacement refrigeration equipment such as vending machines.
Genetron® 134a+UV is the preferred choice for finding leaks in
mobile R-134a systems. It is the same high-purity R-134a refrigerant as our
general purpose product, but it comes with a small charge of fluorescent dye
mixed with a little SAE-approved oil that is designed to help the dye mix
easily in your customer's AC system. Using Genetron 134a+UV lets you find leaks
quickly and easily.
