Fluorocarbon solvents have been used in vapor degreasing and other immersion-type cleaning processes for many years. Genesolv® DSTD and Genesolv® DEG can be used for vapor degreasing, defluxing and precision cleaning.
Current US regulations prohibit the use of Genesolv® 2000 and Genesolv® 2004 in vapor degreasing equipment or other immersion-type cleaning processes such as cold dips or ultrasonic cleaning. These solvents, though, can be used with swabs, wipes and in aerosol cleaners.
Due to its lower boiling points the Genesolv® S solvents are not recommended for use in vapor degreasing applications. |
