Stationary AC Flush

R-11 was once widely used to flush out stationary A/C and refrigeration systems during maintenance and repair. Since the phaseout of R-11, the industry has relied on various substitute methods including a cumbersome filtration process to clean these systems. The Genesolv® S series of flush solvents that were developed for automotive A/C flush are now being extended to stationary systems.

For HFC systems we recommend the use of Genesolv SF. This nonflammable HFC is an excellent solvent for POE and PAG lubricants. For HCFC systems, like R-22 units, we recommend the use of Genesolv S-TZ. This azeotropic blend of SF and trans-1,2,-dichloroethylene is an effective solvent for mineral oil and alkyl benzenes.

In concert with hardware manufacturers, we are developing an automated flush cart for stationary units. This flush system will be faster and more effective than current methods.
