Dear Genetron® Customers,

Honeywell Fluorine Products Europe B.V. announced today a price increase in Europe for its GENETRON® series of hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) blend refrigerants, notably R-410A, R-407C, R-404A, and R-507. The price for bulk and packaged deliveries in Europe will increase by 5 percent for deliveries as of April 1st, 2009, or as soon as agreements allow.

Due to the high demand of HFC refrigerants and the continuously high costs for sulphur- and fluorspar-based raw materials that determine the production cost for HFCs, Honeywell is obliged to adjust its selling price to ensure a minimum profitability. This step has to be taken in order to achieve a sustainable business profitability and to allow the necessary investments in future environmentally superior technologies such as Honeywell’s series of refrigerants with low global warming potential (LGWP).
