Material HandlingMEKO is harmful if swallowed or absorbed through the skin. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Do not breathe vapors. Exposure to liquid and vapors can be irritating to the skin and respiratory tract. Eye irritations can be severe and can result in burns.

In case of contact, immediately flush the affected area with large quantities of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and launder thoroughly before use. Get medial attention for irritation and other symptoms.

MEKO is a combustible liquid. When handling MEKO, keep away from heat and open flame. Do not expose to acids and oxidizers. Vent container before opening. Use closed systems, engineering controls and/or proper respiratory protection to control exposure during handling or transfers.

Wear proper respiratory protection when available controls do not adequately contain vapors. Wear recommended personal protective equipment including impervious clothing and gloves constructed of butyl rubber, neoprene or nitrile when handling liquids.

Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated area suitable for flammable liquids. Keep away from strong acids and oxidizers. Protect containers from physical damage. Keep upright and tightly closed. Do not reuse drum.
