Asensa film and barrier-forming products are used in applications where a less greasy and more pleasant feel is needed. These polymers help active ingredients stay evenly distributed in a formulation.
To our varied list of synthetic polymers, we have added a new biopolymer, certified by the Natural Products Association. This sustainably sourced film former performs comparably against other water based polymeric film formers. NFF 11 is a patented starch based biopolymer currently used as a latex film former. Used in hair products, this "green" styling gel polymer imparts, shine, frizz control and curl resistance in high humidity conditions. It can be formulated in water based systems without the use of solvents. In skin care products, it is a dispersing aid and substantive occlusive agent. The product is 99% bio-based and the low carbon footprint of this molecule makes it the ideal product for formulators seeking an environmentally friendly option for dispersants, structuring agents and film formers.
