Fiber Technologies for Helmet Armor

Advanced helmets have been developed using proprietary resin systems as well as a number of innovative fabric, Gold Shield®, and Spectra Shield® constructions for ballistic and fragmentation protection.

A helmet made with Spectra Shield® material is shown stopping a 9 mm round and defeats a fragmentation simulator - both actions showing the classic 360° Shield technology energy dispersion pattern.
