R-410A Vendor Certification Program
|
 |
Honeywell is a global leader in fluorine technology and owns patents on
R-410A. R-410A is becoming the preferred refrigerant for air conditioners in
Europe, supplementing R407C due to R-410A's higher efficiency.
|
The Problem
|
Some air conditioning manufacturers in Asia are charging their products
with unlicensed R-410A and importing into Europe.
|
The Risk
|
| Purchasing AC charged with unlicensed R-410A could expose your company
to: |
 | Seizure and destruction of infringing goods |
 | Legal fees and business distraction of a lawsuit |
 | Money damages for infringement and possibly breach of contract with a
customer |
 | Injunction preventing infringing activity (e.g., sales of infringing
goods) |
The Solution
|
| Save your company from the unnecessary exposure by doing the following
: |
 | Educate yourself about the products you are buying |
 | Specify licensed R-410A be used in your purchase orders |
 | Require your supplier to certify in writing that they are using licensed
R-410A |
 | Only use suppliers who have letters of certification from a licensed R-410A
supplier.
