The $500 incentive is available for U.S. employees and their families who participate in an expanded medical decision support program offered by Consumer’s Medical Resource (CMR), a trusted Honeywell partner of more than six years. By offering an incentive, we hope to encourage Honeywell employees and their families to learn about all of their health care options before making a choice.

To qualify for the incentive, employees or covered family members must have a physician-confirmed diagnosis and a surgery recommendation for one of eight procedures (shown on the left). You must then complete the following three steps to receive your $500 incentive:

1. Call HealthResource at 1-800-944-4887. If you qualify, the HealthResource Care Consultant will connect you to CMR.

2. Use the tools and information provided to you by the CMR medical decision-support team. It is most important that you work with your CMR decision-support specialist to understand your diagnosis and treatment options, and make a well-informed decision.

3. Take a survey upon completing the program. Your decision-support specialist will facilitate the survey with you. The survey will take very little time, but the feedback you provide will help us continue to understand the effectiveness of decision support and to design future programs that promote informed medical choices and better outcomes.

Once you have qualified for the incentive program (physician-confirmed diagnosis and a recommendation for one of the eight procedures (shown on the left) and completed the required three-step process, Honeywell will credit a tax-free Health-Reimbursement Account (HRA) with $500 for you to use to pay for future health care expenses that are not reimbursed by a health plan.

Your $500 will be credited as soon as practicable after you have completed the three-step qualification process described above. Once the award is credited to your HRA Account, you can use it to pay for eligible out of pocket health care expenses like copays and coinsurance. Each time you have an eligible out of pocket health care expense, you can submit a claim to your HRA to be reimbursed for the expense. For example, if you have a $20 copay at a doctor’s office, you can pay the copay upfront and submit a claim to your HRA for reimbursement. See our Frequently Asked Questions About Health-Reimbursement Accounts for additional information on what HRAs are and how they work.

Note: If you have a Honeywell Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA), the money in your FSA will be used first; if you use your full elected amount for your FSA, then additional out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed from your HRA. The FSA and HRA plans are designed to coordinate with these reimbursement ordering rules because your FSA has a “use it or lose it” rule: If you don’t use your full FSA Account for expenses incurred by March 15th of next year, the remaining balance is forfeited. That’s not the case with the HRA. The HRA balance can roll over for use next year. This will ensure that you utilize your full FSA elected amount before any HRA reimbursements are processed. Complete just one claim form and submit it for processing; our administrator will coordinate the reimbursement process.
