Tim Mahoney - President and CEO, Aerospace

Tim Mahoney

Tim Mahoney was appointed president and CEO of Honeywell Aerospace in September 2009. He brings more than 30 years of industry experience to this role leading Honeywell's largest business group with current sales of $11 billion. With headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona, Honeywell Aerospace comprises three main businesses: Air Transport & Regional, Business & General Aviation, and Defense & Space.

Prior to this assignment, Mr. Mahoney served almost four years on the Aerospace leadership team, first as president of the Air Transport & Regional business and most recently as chief technology officer, leading the worldwide Aerospace Engineering & Technology organization.

Before August 2005, Mr. Mahoney was vice president and general manager of Aviation Aftermarket Services, a role in which he led the global aerospace repair & overhaul business for engines and systems. Prior to that, as vice president and general manager of the Aerospace Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project, he laid the foundation for successful implementation of ERP that is currently underway within the Aerospace business.

Mr. Mahoney's Honeywell tenure also includes roles as vice president and general manager of the Hardware Product Group and vice president and general manager for the Military, Helicopter and Marine/Industrial engine business.

Before joining Honeywell in 1997, he spent 18 years with Sikorsky Aircraft in Connecticut where he held a series of progressively responsible positions, including deputy program manager for Safety and Technical Management, manager of Field Service Operations, director of Material & Technical Support and director of Commercial Customer Service.

Mr. Mahoney has a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida.
