Andreas Kramvis - President and CEO, Specialty Materials

Andreas Kramvis was named president and chief executive officer of Honeywell
Specialty Materials in March 2008. Specialty Materials, a $5.3 billion
strategic business group of Honeywell based in Morristown, N.J., is a global
leader in providing customers with high-performance specialty materials,
including fluorine products; specialty films and additives; advanced fibers and
composites; intermediates; specialty chemicals; electronic materials and
chemicals; and technologies and
materials
for petroleum refining.
Before being named to his current post, Andreas served six years as president
of Environmental and Combustion Controls (ECC), a strategic business unit of
Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions that provides integrated product
solutions in heating and heating processes, ventilation, cooling and
refrigeration, air filtration, zoning, humidification, air conditioning, water
controls and processes, electrical devices and systems, lighting control,
buildings controls, switches, sensors and controllers. ECC's technologies are
found in more than 150 million homes, 10 million buildings and a multitude of
manufacturing plants around the world.
Andreas began his business career in Europe and has global experience as an
executive in a variety of industries. In addition to heating, ventilating and
air-conditioning with ECC, he has worked in consumer goods for
Cadbury-Schweppes PLC, computer peripherals with Comtech, and security with
Pittway, which later became part of Honeywell. Andreas is a graduate of
Cambridge University, where he studied engineering, specializing in
electronics. He also holds a master's degree in business administration from
Manchester Business School.
