One of the many Honeywell initiatives for our employees is the National
Merit Scholarship program. Each year, Honeywell Hometown Solutions underwrites
National Merit Scholarships for children of full-time Honeywell
employees.
The Merit Scholarship Program is administered by the National Merit Scholarship
Corporation (NMSC), an independent, non-profit organization that identifies
exceptional students and help as many of them obtain a college education as
possible.
In order to participate in the program, high school age children of Honeywell
employees first take the PSAT/NMSQT during the fall of their junior year of
high school and then apply to NMSC to compete for the scholarships. Honeywell
Hometown Solutions funds scholarships that range from $500-$2000 a year for up
to four years of undergraduate study or until a baccalaureate degree is earned,
which ever occurs first. For more information about the National Merit
Scholarship and requirements, visit
the NMSC Website at: www.nationalmerit.org.
