The Honeywell Humanitarian Relief Fund helps provide assistance to employees
and communities affected by natural disaster.
Tsunami Efforts
Honeywell Hometown Solutions awarded Operation USA a $250,000 grant and adopted
the badly damaged village of Kallady in Sri Lanka. Honeywell funded the
construction of a community center, health clinic and 215 homes for the
village's 950 surviving residents currently living in temporary housing. The
company also funded the sinking of more than 200 wells to provide water for
local residents and paying for the rebuilding and refurbishment of the village
school.
Gulf Coast Hurricanes
When Hurricanes Katrina and Rita devastated the U.S. Gulf Coast nearly 200
Honeywell employees were affected by these storms. Due to the generosity of
more than 3,000 Honeywell employees, more than $1.1 million of aid was provided
to 178 affected employees as well as the communities of Baton Rouge, LA and
Geismar, LA .
