Federal Resources for Concerned Workers
All employees, former and current, have full access to a number of federal resources if they have an occupational health concern.

The National Supplemental Screening Program (NSSP) at 1-866-812-6703 is a health screening program for former U.S. Department of Energy workers who may have been exposed to hazardous substances or may be at significant risk for occupational disease.

Building Trades National Medical Screening Program at 1-800-866-9663 is available to employees who have performed construction work at Department of Energy sites.

The Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) at 1-866-534-0599 was activated in 2001 to provide benefits for workers who have developed a serious illness due to toxic exposures while working for Department of Energy contractors and subcontractors in the nuclear weapons industry.
