Honeywell's Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) serves as an independent monitor of an aircraft's position relative to surrounding terrain. With 30 years of ground proximity warning experience and over 800 million departures of EGPWS equipped aircraft, Honeywell offers the most advanced, cost effective solution to TAWS regulations. EGPWS uses aircraft inputs such as position, altitude, airspeed and glideslope, along with an internal terrain / obstacle / runway database to predict potential conflicts between the aircraft's flight path and terrain or an obstacle. The result is a visual and audio caution or warning alert. When coupled with a display, the surrounding terrain can be viewed relative to the aircraft position, providing strategic terrain information up to 30 minutes before a potential terrain conflict.

MKV-A

The new Mark V-A EGPWS exceeds the FAA TSO-C151c Class A requirements for TAWS and provides digital aircraft with worldwide protection against Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT), Windshear, and (optionally) Runway Incursions/Overruns.

MK V

The Mark V EGPWS exceeds the FAA TSO-C151b Class A requirements for TAWS and provides digital aircraft with worldwide protection against Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT), Windshear, and (optionally) Runway Incursions/Overruns.

MK VI

The Mark VI EGPWS exceeds the FAA TSO-C151b Class A requirements for TAWS and provides low-cost regional protection against controlled flight into terrain (CFIT) for turboprop/piston aircraft.

MK VII

The Mark VII EGPWS exceeds the FAA TSO-C151b Class A requirements for TAWS and provides analog aircraft with worldwide protection against Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT), Windshear, and (optionally) Runway Incursions/Overruns.

MK VIII

The Mark VIII EGPWS exceeds the FAA TSO-C151b Class A requirements for TAWS and provides worldwide protection against controlled flight into terrain (CFIT) for turbofan and turboprop aircraft.

MK XXI

The Mark XXI EGPWS exceeds the FAA TSO-C194 requirements for HTAWS and is designed specifically for VFR helicopters without a radio altimeter installed. The MK XXI provides helicopters with low-cost regional protection against controlled flight into terrain (CFIT).

MK XXII

The Mark XXII EGPWS exceeds the FAA TSO-C194 requirements for HTAWS and is designed specifically for single engine turbine and multi-engine turbine IFR helicopters with a radio altimeter installed.

KGP 860

The KGP 860 EGPWS exceeds the FAA TSO-C151b Class B requirements for TAWS and provides low-cost regional protection against controlled flight into terrain (CFIT) for light turbine and piston aircraft without a radio altimeter installed.

KMH 980

The KMH 980 system pairs the KTA 970, which delivers TAS, with the KGP 860 enhanced ground proximity warning system (EGPWS) - making this a powerful duo for safety in the sky.

MFRD

Multifunction Radar Display (MFRD) Honeywell's new multifunction radar display brings a new meaning to convenience.

TRA-45

The Honeywell TRA 45A combines terrain display and radio altitude information into a single, space-saving multifunction instrument.
