Although the European Union
RoHS directive and the MII Order #39 (China RoHS ) considers the aerospace
industry as ‘out of scope’ to the rules of the directives, the supply chain has
been impacted. Electronic component manufacturers have complied with the
restrictions and have replaced the prohibited materials with alternatives. Honeywell Aerospace’s Pb-Free Policy and
China RoHS response ensures that these alternative materials do not pose a
negative impact to the airworthiness and reliability of our products.
° EU directive entered into force June 20, 2005
° Restricts the use of six hazardous materials:
− Lead
− Hexavalent Chromium
− Mercury
− Cadmium
− Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)
− Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE)
